Convictus Lumbar Cushion

The Convictus lumbar cushion is designed to reflect our Tasmanian history. The convict arrow was printed on convict uniforms in the early 1800s to signify that convicts were the property of the British government. Convicts were sent to Tasmania, many had been charged with minor crimes, and were never allowed to return to the life they knew and to the people they loved. We choose to name this cushion Convictus to symbolise their strength, resilience, courage and their ability to remain unconquered in dark times. Those people are remembered in Tasmania by that symbol often cut into the hand-hewn stone of our most beautiful and treasured homes and bridges.

Our range tells stories of Tasmania past and present. Our cushions are meticulously handcrafted, and are more than just decor; they are a reflection of our unwavering commitment to sustainable luxury and our environment.
